As the calendar winds down at the end of each year, it has become a tradition for the Junction Creative Solutions (Junction) team to share a list of favorite things from 2022. “Things” as a noun are objects, articles, items, commodities, or gadgets. So, you can see that a “thing” can cover a lot of ground. And yes, a person can be a thing, albeit a very special thing, which usually means they command a list of their own. But things can also include favorite pastimes and opportunities to share visits with those special ones in our lives. Here are just a few of our favorite things.
Susan continues the tradition of including Starbucks and a favorite Frappuccino on her list. It seems some favorite things can remain favorites over time. The Peloton App is enjoyed by the entire family when they need to pay attention to improving cardio, strength, stretching, and meditation. When it comes to improving the mind, the game Wordle makes the top of the list. “I’ve literally played this every day — well, almost — since Junction posted a blog about it earlier this year!”
For the Junction Team Leader, Instacart has become invaluable. “I love the convenience of being able to order groceries, and in most cases have something delivered within an hour or two. Saves a lot of hours throughout the course of a year.” And then there is Door Dash. “Who doesn’t love Door Dash?” Finally, let’s not forget Starbucks. “It is a consistent experience every visit.”
Marci says, “Spending time with my nieces and close family and friends for the holidays is really a special activity. It’s the most magical time of the year when miracles can happen!” A good manicure can brighten anyone’s day particularly when you can rest assured Ring Doorbell is looking out for you at home. But without a doubt, Rosie’s Collection is at the top of her list of favorite places.
Alejandrina just loves the app, ClassPass, “I can choose between, yoga, HIIT, Barre classes! It’s a lot of fun to be able to pick the activity without being locked to only one place.” Withing’s Scan Watch tracks her sleep and overall fitness. “Love it. I know my trends and how to improve!” The Insight timer meditation app also makes the list of favorite things. “It’s great for beginners or experts.”
Spotify makes Noah’s list again this year. “I use it all the time! Music and podcasts are the only way to make it through Atlanta traffic every day.” He keeps track of his time with his Wahoo Element. “I love this smart watch! It’s waterproof, great for fitness tracking, and it is pretty much indestructible.” Noah says his life is made easier by Amazon Automatic Ordering. “I have finally started using the automatic recorder feature on Amazon for things like my cat’s food and litter. It makes it so much easier, and you can schedule out the reorder whenever you need it!”
Lily appreciates the Pura Smart Fragrance Diffuser. It is a great alternative to candles and offers a ton of good scent options that can be controlled through an app. The AnyList App is a favorite because it makes grocery shopping easy by allowing the categorizing of grocery items by what aisle they’re in at the store. And then there is the Air Fryer. “I just got one at the beginning of this year and I don’t know what I did before I had it. You can put almost anything in it and it’s so quick and easy!”
Stephanie finds the Oura Ring indispensable. “I cannot live without it! The ring has improved my health tremendously.” Another favorite in the pastime category is the Fantasy Football Ladies League. “This year was the first time I participated, and it has been such a fun activity. The experience has really offered me a whole new perspective on the game.” When the sun gets in her eyes, Goodr Sunglasses are a must-have accessory. “They’re fun, affordable, and functional”.
Happy Holidays from Junction!
